Windfall Remains "On Track" with USATF and ESPN

Windfall Productions announces an eight-event 2010 Track and Field TV production services deal including five USATF Championships Series Events plus the NCAA Indoors, SEC Indoor and Outdoor Track and Field Championships. A total 18 hours of programming including such track and field legacy events as the 103rd Millrose Games and the 116th running of the Penn Relays.

New York, NY (PRWEB) January 18, 2010 — Windfall Productions announces an eight-event 2010 Track and Field TV production services deal including five USATF Championships Series Events plus the NCAA Indoors, SEC Indoor and Outdoor Track and Field Championships. A total 18 hours of programming including such track and field legacy events as the 103rd Millrose Games and the 116th running of the Penn Relays.

With successful ratings for Track and Field TV in 2009 ESPN2 has renewed its programming agreement with USA Track and Field for 2010. This marks the fifth consecutive year that veteran Executive Producer, Ralph J Mole´ of Windfall Productions has produced this series as exclusive USATF TV partner. “The series will move up and become a full HD broadcast on ESPN” said Exec Producer Ralph J Mole’ who will be responsible for all creative production decisions and will serve as live TV director for all national broadcasts on ESPN. “Windfall has been integral in the development of our Visa Championship Series broadcasts and we look forward to a successful 2010 campaign,” said Brian Brase, Director of Broadcasting & Events, USA Track & Field. In addition, ESPN Regional TV will directly contract Mole’ and Windfall’s services to deliver coverage of the NCAA Indoor T&F Championships plus the SEC Indoor and Outdoor T&F Championships for 2010. These collegiate sports events will be telecast in standard definition on ESPN U and ESPN2.

A total of 18 hours of live and delayed Track and Field television coverage USATF series will employ the services of NEP HD Supershooters for broadcast remote facilities. Windfall is planning coverage with eight cameras including a jib, Iconix POV cameras for field events, Chyron Duet Hyper-X graphics, DVC Pro HD mastering, 6 Channel EVS and (2) 4 Channel EVS RO servers for a “tapeless workflow”.

Ralph J Mole´ served as world director of live track during the 1996 Atlanta Olympics for AOB. In 2003, Windfall Productions produced more than 12 hours of ESPN’s coverage of the “World Championships of Athletics” from Paris, France Windfall has also produced athletics’ TV specials for ESPN from around the globe. Featuring distinguished track meets like “Weltklasse”, “DN Galan”, “Bislett Games” and “ ISTAF “

These athletics meets previously part of The Golden League, have now become the cornerstone of the IAAF’s Diamond League Series for 2010.

This unprecedented fifth year renewal between the USATF and Windfall Productions is testimony to Ralph J Mole’s reputation as the independent leader in Track & Field TV production.
